Website and Identity for AKILA Eyewear

After five years building a reputation for sustainable, limited-run frames and ambitious cultural collaborations. As the brand expanded, its e-commerce platform was redesigned with a new organizational system and refined UI/UX to create a faster, clearer shopping experience aligned with AKILA’s evolution. The same design approach extended to the flagship Silver Lake store, developed with local architecture firm 22RE, unifying the brand’s digital and physical presence.

Art Journal for BOFFO

Talking to The Sun is an annual magazine that presents writing, documentation, and imagery from BOFFO’s five artist residencies and 12-hour Performance Festival on Fire Island. BOFFO had previously published books, but none quite had staying power. By defining design standards and proposing a new name, BOFFO Journal, the publication gained consistency and recognition, establishing itself as a lasting platform for the organization’s editorial and curatorial vision. Developed at Composite alongside Christian Dutilh (Creative Direction), Jakob Weinzettel (Art Direction), Gavin Park and Con Hinson (Design). Portraits by Matt Grubb. Fire Island footage and flags by Joe McShea.

Website and Identity for The Wooster Group

Supported by the Bloomberg Digital Accelerator Grant, the iconic downtown experimental theater company partnered with Composite to transform their long-neglected website into a living archive. We set out to create a dynamic digital home for decades of productions, collaborators, and media dating back to the 1970s. Through a new visual identity, thoughtful UX strategy, and a flexible CMS architecture, the project invites nonlinear exploration and captures the layered essence of The Wooster Group’s practice.

Logotype for Long Beach Barbecue

A flexible mark informed by the visual language of grills and ports, designed for an unrealized barbecue concept in Long Beach, California. To document the process, the work was accompanied by a Paul Rand-style logo presentation book.

Portfolio for Fashion Designer

A concise yet comprehensive archive of fashion designer Becca Rosen’s work in denim, color-coded by client and developed in collaboration with Cong Huynh.

Graphics for my Dad's church

Ongoing and occasional design support for a California church led by my father, a pastor. Past projects have drawn on first-century Christian imagery, reinterpreted to create visuals that remain rooted in tradition while speaking to a contemporary audience.
